After a busy semester of teaching it is so nice to be at the Biological Psychiatry Australia Conference. First up today is @foldi.bsky.social and team with the development of a 'library of animal models', which sounds like a fantastic resource for researchers studying clinical symptoms/disorders

Incredibly proud of @kxhuang.bsky.social for persisting with such a challenging dataset from her PhD! We found some intriguing genetic targets in a corticostriatal circuit that may be involved in the development of #anorexia nervosa 🤔 onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

For those hurting after DP EOI outcomes today, courtesy of ChatGPT (I prompted with the first line, it will have to go over 2 posts as it's too long):
Oh ARC, why won't you fund me?
I’ve written papers, set them free,
With research deep and insights bright,
Yet still, no grant, no guiding light.

@rossenator.bsky.social & co @einsteinmededu.bsky.social developed an object detection machine learning tool to identify cell types of the estrous cycle in mice, providing a fast & reliable method for estrous cycle monitoring in neuroscience studies!

All I have seen on here for days is #ACNP2024 posts and the pain of jealousy hurts more than the unquestionable jetlag that would accompany such a trip. How does an extra-US gal like me score an invite for 2025?
