Also, taking screencaps for this, was really struck by how much Blatty loved telling a story with set dressing. So many shots lingering over a desk or a wall or an ashtray while someone talks. Feels kind of writerly, but in a way that I actually really dig.

On the plus side though I got a copy of Siren for a reasonable price so I’m set for Halloween gaming 😌

Between this and Dolls, I'm really having a very Stuart Gordon Halloween. Can't believe I slept on this guy for so long, excited to have a new genre guy's filmography to hyperfixate on.

Right now, I’m really enjoying the new Geese album, which has a really strong back half. Half Real through to Long Island City, Here I Come is going to be hard to top in terms of best-of-the-year list material for me
