ILC3s regulate the gut microbiota via host intestinal galactosylation to limit pathogen infection in mice - Nature Microbiology
Akkermansia muciniphila can promote intestinal pathogen infection in mice via microbial metabolite succinate production, but the expansion of A. muciniphila is strictly controlled by ILC3s through the...

Had the pleasure of writing a commentary for Nature Immunology on this article out today from Nian Liu, Zusen Fan and colleagues.

A really interesting piece of gut NeuroImmunology dissecting the interplay between GABAergic neurons and ILC3.

Enteric GABAergic neuron-derived γ-aminobutyric acid initiates expression of Igfbp7 to sustain ILC3 homeostasis - Nature Immunology
Fan and colleagues show that the neurotransmitter GABA signals in intestinal ILC3s to suppress IL-17A production through a regulatory loop that involves suppression of C/EBP-β and induction of Igfb7.
