Very cool/informative thread comparing coverage of No Kings 1 and No Kings 2.
A 🧵
See our grades & analysis of 60+ front pages for #NoKings coverage.
Influential news outlets like NYT/ WSJ continue trivialize coverage of the pro-democracy movement & demonstrations like #NoKings. Editors of local outlets did better.

Canadians are vacationing at home. International tourists are choosing Canada.

It's not just the insults, or the tariffs. It's too dangerous to go to America. ICE's powers are without limit. We can't go to a country that treats international visitors as new enemies instead of historic allies.

It’s not too late to show up, many protests are still getting started, and we’re already over 2 million+. Today has been incredible. Small towns across America doubled or even tripled their turnout compared to 4/5. Way to go! We never expected these small towns to show up with this kind of force!

So much for being the light of freedom to the world. Take down the Statue of Liberty, she no longer represents who we’ve become.
Jawdropping.

You would expect this in a dictatorship, not the United States.

This country is unrecognizable.
