Maybe this, but also maybe that.
Honesty, kindness and hard work - the rest is negotiable.
Oh. And bikes.
Which of his policies do you characterize as racist?

Electrification of transport and industry is increasing demand for Nat Gas to some extent but it’s diminishing demand for oil. Oil fired power stations supply~ 4% of generation globally and that’s down from 6% a decade ago.

I think you mean recissions.
But then again…

Not my bag but I understood that some of its feedstock was plant based but some was petroleum derived.

To be clear, I don’t doubt bio- materials have enormous potential. I am just skeptical of the potential pace of transition (as with energy) and fear that we continue to ignore reducible emissions in the fossil chain under the false premise they’ll be gone soon.

Solona is a hybrid, no?

AND Congress didn’t want to. They are the most obsequious of cowards.
June 22, 2025 at 10:24 PM
“Silly” isnt the word to use for congress’s total and continued abdication of its responsibility.
June 22, 2025 at 10:23 PM
There is huge potential for biologic materials. But you’ll note that those specifically discussed are relatively niche and have complex processes of synthesis from petrochemical feedstock- ie high cost thresholds. We’re not talking about cheap bio-polymers, at least not yet.

Most of those biotech revenues are in agriculture and healthcare, not in materials.
June 22, 2025 at 8:00 PM
We can replace hydrocarbons as fuel stock but replacing them as materials is much harder. We use them in some form to build practically everything including all those electrified things.

Not familiar but will give him a read. Thanks much.

By what metric was the 1860s peak racism? Surely the abolition of slavery (elsewhere) in the ensuing century indicated an improvement?

Section 5 gives them rights of arrest for crimes committed in their presence. Obstruction of a federal officer conducting their duties probably qualifies.
ICE agents are federal law enforcement officials and have broad powers.
June 17, 2025 at 5:28 PM
Under section 287 of the code authorized ICE personnel can arrest immigrants who they believe should be expelled without a warrant.
What they are doing and how they are doing it may be appalling but it is 100% legal.

Can we now consider how aesthetically challenging stop signs are.
June 13, 2025 at 5:34 PM
I don’t think it’s unpopular at all. He was a talented but deeply damaged human being.
June 7, 2025 at 11:15 AM
The notion that we could witness a civil war between the Trump L(R)oyalistz and the jacked up bend sinister tech bros is further dismaying.
June 5, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Surely a simple Harmony and Dissonance spell would solve such domestic challenges- one way or another?
May 29, 2025 at 5:17 PM
Really it isn’t.
May 29, 2025 at 12:23 PM
Throw seeds in the wind, not promises.
May 25, 2025 at 4:56 PM
Apparently it can.
But there are consequences.

I suspect that the 8th amendment is regularly suspended in your household.

I jumped off too quickly from your statement and was literally contemplating what a “right wing pub” would be. The Disraeli Arms? The Mosley Inn?
