During Fiona Hill's testimony to Congress on Oct 14, 2019, she described how Trump and Putin discussed exchanging Ukraine for Venezuela. The quid pro quo was if Trump refuses to help Ukraine fight off a Russian invasion, Putin would not help Venezuela (a Russian ally) resist a US takeover.

Think we need to be re-introducing the concept of FUBAR to our current attempts to describe what Trump is doing in the Caribbean right now. It's a military term for

F-cked Up Beyond All Recognition.
So it increasingly appears Trump just made up the idea that he was in charge of Venezuela. Made it up. Confabulated it. Confirming he is not aware of what is happening around him, and should no longer be in this job. Can't walk this one back peeps.

Democrats need to force an impeachment of Hegseth, Rubio and Trump to the floor by getting a discharge petition signed on January 5th.

No need for hearings; the deliberate and blatant attack on law, order, and the Constitution is clear.

The President has usurped Congress’ Constitutional powers.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

🚨A new Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll shows that on the economy — the issue that carried Trump back to the White House — only 37% of Americans approve of his performance, compared to 62% who disapprove. This is in line with other recent polls.

This is a very serious problem for Republicans.

Between what came before and what happened tonight, Dems ought to treat encounters with CBS reporters as presumptively hostile and untrustworthy. A small thing, but there’s no way out of this disaster if the party continues helplessly submitting to unequal treatment from ~all mediating institutions.

“There’s too many Americans on SNAP!”

Yes there are. Too many corporations refuse to pay a living wage.

Huge companyies are encouraging their employees to apply for SNAP because they don’t pay them enough to survive.

The government encourages this & then blames the poor.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 91st day out of the last 103.

12 days of work in 103 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.
