But you know what else this deserves? An amicus brief from linguists. I think it's too late for that in this case (this opinion was from September), but there will be more like it. I have an alert set for new opinions that cite this opinion. Who are the #linguistics folks who might pitch in?

i have plenty of thoughts on why it matters that this is an illegal order but here i’ll just comment that i think liberals who throw their hands up and say “it doesn’t matter” have self lobotomized themselves into thinking that trump is god king of america

Fun little feature just dropped. You can also, of course, use our alert system to get an email whenever there's an emoji in the law. (We do see more emojis in filings than case law, however.)
