In the end, I didn’t get recording and playback finished so I wasn’t able to make them sing, but I did get a first revision of my projection-mapped jack-o-lanterns. Now I have a list of changes to make next year, mostly replacing some Blueprints with C++ and I definitely need a better projector.

More progress on the projection mapping project. Time is tight, but I think it'll make it.

1. Tuned settings down enough that it can run on my mini-PC... maybe
2. Rigged 3 more skeletons and set up 2 variants for left, right, and main
3. Backlight effects
4. Dev UI
5. Recording mode (stub)

Finally making a little bit of progress on my goal of projection-mapping some holiday characters. Things I'm learning from this:
- How to do all kinds of basic Unreal stuff
- Programmatically taking control of skeletons
- Hooking up inputs
- I should never be a rigger

It did not work in final assembly; too fragile and you can only really see the light in side-glow for 1-2 inches with this setup. Reworking the whole thing to be much simpler, new pics next week.

Working on a lighting project. Dunno if it’ll actually work in final assembly but here’s the controller booting and starting to render subtle noise. Doesn’t pick up all that well on phone camera, unfortunately.
