(Not the first time it's been like this, just the most glaring)

Also, this is Los Angeles - we don't have Blvds, we have Bls

that's actually perfect. they're calling 2026 the Year Of Music. it's gonna be the year where there's music

LA has ~8-10 stations downtown, depending where you draw the lines. And then also has Downtown Santa Monica, Downtown Inglewood, Downtown Long Beach, and Azusa Downtown stations

You'll note the literal opening clause of my comment.

I don't like a lot of officials' approach to this, but I think it's pretty misleading to brand delay as a City-invented strategy when delayed effectuation is literally written into the bill (and the subject City Planning report is pretty much just factually about what options the bill provides)

🫡 looking forward to it as always. Offer will stand if you ever need it (although I'm sure you have the audience to find plenty of people who could and would help)

Can I ask whether this is a one-off graphic or work for a new video? I've got some knowledge with the Zoning Code and could maybe answer a couple questions, if needed

Holy shit are you ever

If that's really the final location, it's more segregating people who actually use Union Station vs people who visit once to check out the VenHub

Plus, Amtrak says this

I can't imagine so since there's no seatbelts? Unless I'm misremembering how car seats work

I mostly don't mind this but the word order choice here gives me pause

We've got nobody for DFW on www.transitruns.org yet, we could use a first!
Home - TransitRuns
TransitRuns is a global database of times for transit speedrunning - the pursuit of visiting all stations on a public transit system as fast as possible.

I can't believe siivagunner broke the jetsons ban to upload your rip. Because it was the funniest thing even

In fact, if you require it every day, I don't think a single station in the state reaches the 36 threshold for very high frequency (tier 1) commuter rail. This could not possibly have been the intention (although intended meaning vs text on the page will be a persistent issue with this law)

An alternate charitable reading: they were possibly included for "exploratory purposes", to show an eventual picture of what SB 79 could look like in the city in final implementation.

Of course, if that's true, it's still irresponsible to put out a map where they look just as final as existing stns
September 24, 2025 at 8:46 PM
The Metrolink readings on this map are bonkers - clicking around on the storymap, it seems that Van Nuys was explicitly included on a *Metrolink* basis in addition to ESFV - a treatment Chatsworth and Sylmar/San Fernando didn't get. I have no clue how that conclusion could've been reached
September 24, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Good to know, I'd still love to see the city, HCD, or a court be asked & give an official reading
September 24, 2025 at 8:40 PM
Either way, in this case I'm just calling it of-note that they've not included them. Not committing to one way or the other being correct
