The opening was a little ehhh (granted they had an extremely difficulty situation to navigate) and that there are a few moments of narrative/structural convenience, but the core of what this season is is really good I think

Really, really good! I'm sure everything writing and direction-wise has already been talked about in places much more suited to nuanced analysis, so I'll use my remaining space to say Hamish Linklater is a generational talent. Just phenomenal acting with so much range.

I watched S1 a while back and thought it was mediocre and forgot about the 2nd. Coming back to it, it's better than S1. Has BIG sagging middle syndrome, which is unfortunate since there's only 6 episodes lol. Starts very strong, ends decently.
The movies are still better.
