I'm not aware of any studies, but then again it's outside my arena. I suppose there maybe some correlation, but its hard to discern what is fact when there is so much noise about this out there.

So political disagreement is a symptom of moral failure which equates to the choice to sin. And irrationality is also a moral failure, thus the equivalence of sin. Am I missing something?
