my biggest gripe with his approach! reminded me a lot of the countless pieces on the Alt-right in the 2010s, in which journalists would print the most provocative soundbites they heard without any real followup or interrogation on their factuality
there is something very funny about asking ppl who specifically fetishize self-destruction whether their activities are self-destructive & taking their answer at face value
