I feel like people sleep on the shading ink type in Aseprite.
it's really fun painting, layering multiple tones, getting fun textures as each brush stroke is layered, easily being able to adjust the values of an area

It's really clear they didn't get a writer to handle his dialogue though.

i'm actually excited for the vr set too, I have a vive cosmos and I barely use it because it takes up so much space and I can never get the screen to adjust correctly

Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.
