Meanwhile over in wee Cyprus the pro-reunification candidate in northern Cyprus won in the first round by a massive landslide: 62.76%.

“Buy my Brexit benefits book.” Also “fuck off if you disagree”.
Result: no one but the already convinced will read it. All that effort for one big zero result.

It is number 16 of 27 EU countries in this list so technically in the bottom half. But yes lower than the UK. www.worldgovernmentbonds.com

QED. 6 RTs but one of them is a blue tick so I get (if one can believe the stats) loads of views.

“Both BlueSky and Twitter are dead as ‘engagement’ media but we haven’t noticed yet.” Discuss. This is traffic from my latest Substack article.

People sneer at those who are still on Xitter. I think they must be UK/US-focused so dare I say it a bit parochial. Can I find this kind of really-important -for-my-job info here? Nope. I do follow @gonultol.bsky.social here but it just doesn’t turn up on my feed.

Looks like an entry-level position.

It depends a lot on whether they are allowed to work. I think asylum seekers aren’t allowed(?) so they have no legal way of contributing. For longer term immigrants, whether they are net contributors depends on lots of variables. See this report migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/resources/br...

From hot Cyprus, FWIW if you have remote-controlled ceiling fans, everything (working, sleeping, faffing) up to about 34 C is doable. After that you can still use fans only in mornings, as I do, but you will need AC in the afternoons and at night (and for 🏃🏽‍♀️ and 🎻 practice). #AirCon

Ok am reading it honest!

This Friday I will be publishing a short video explaining where #Cyprus is with its latest #gas reserves announcement and how they compare with the region and the world. As always with my videos, it will include some mythbusting 🤓 #Energy.

Let’s be honest, unless you live in a high-population country both Xitter (where I’ve 5.5k followers) AND BlueSky are finished. One of my best-performing Substack articles: Twitter = 2, Insta I never use = 3, BlueSky: one big zero. The ones you won’t recognise are Russian- + Turkish-speaking sites.

Has anyone worked how to read a thread on BlueSky without it dying half way in someone else’s reply? Or becoming unreadable as it gets skinnier? Or both? I mean FFS what is this.

Rookie Q for #DataViz types. What software would you recommend to a 58 year-old with no coding experience, who wants to turn stats like the csv on the left into a table presentation like on the right. I do ~25 tables/charts a month like this. Excel is repetitive + Pivot messes up row sequences 😡

It may be “contribution of stockbuilding”, which is stockbuilding in T, minus same in T-1 divided by GDP in T-1.
