How a post-fascist state model emerged in Cold War Latin America inspired by Francisco Franco’s Spain.
During the 1960s and 1970s, most Latin American republics saw their democratic systems ousted by ruthless military dictatorships.

Does the BBC think it's improper for a speaker to state their opinion that Donald Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history?

Because I think almost all historians would readily agree that Donald Trump is the most openly corrupt president in American history.
BBC censors a lecture removing author’s remarks on Trump that refer to him a the most openly corrupt American president.

Yeah, the thing that's going to bring America back to its glory days is me showing up for my Frontier Airlines flight in a tux.

Huge red flag! Fascism was about politics as violence, politics as domination. In other words, fascists attacked political and ethnic minorities in the name of the leader, the nation, and the sacred. Fascism in its many forms did not hesitate to kill its own citizens.
One-third of the Republicans in Congress: “I didn’t see it.”

Another third: “He was only joking.”

The last third: “I agree with him.”

Democrats just ran the table, winning the marquee races -- NJ and VA sweeps, NYC mayor, CA prop, PA Supreme Court -- and lower-profile races in red and purple states across the nation.

If the media you're reading or watching paints this as anything but a massive win, stop reading or watching them.

The blatant politicization of disaster relief aid is yet another thing that should have immediately ended it in his first term.
Trump screws his voters again: He just denied disaster aid to Maryland (while giving it to red states). But I took a look and it turns out the suffering Maryland counties are in Appalachia and backed him by 40 and 54 points.

On the pod, @stevebenen.com and I discuss:

Trump Nixing of Dem State Disaster Aid Backfires, Screwing MAGA Voters
After Trump’s handling of disasters boomerangs on MAGA country, the author of a piece on his retribution against blue America explains how this saga reveals MAGA ideology’s deepest depravities.
