i love magnus hirschfeld as this weird total outlier guy who was the first and only cis man to listen to a trans woman talk about how miserable she feels and how she hates her appearance, then look at the estrogen on his shelf and say “i have an idea”
Trans healthcare by cis people is 99% to reduce the number of trans people.

The 1% is chaser docs who want to make trans women more fuckable or Magnus Hirschfield

Top left. I have no idea what that means, but that’s where I am.

I can hear my inner therapist pushing me to appreciate what I have. So “it’s draining when three of my partners need emotional support at the same time” becomes “there are three amazing women who love me and trust me to be there for them,” which is a good problem to have, all things considered.

the feminine urge to emotionally develop more over 3 years as a sapphic woman than over multiple decades as a dysphoric husk of a man

Final day of @milehicon.bsky.social. Actually did a bit of cosplay, collected badge ribbons, and got Magic cards signed by artist guest of honor @crystalsully.bsky.social.

I want to be faux-outraged that the east wing demolition destroyed the movie theater, but the actual outrage that has been constant all year is so overpowering that it just feels pointless.

After years of hearing about how good The Leftovers is, this is the post that finally got me to start watching.

I’m enjoying it so far, even if I was completely unprepared for Christopher Eccleston’s American accent.
Using all this talk of covering up tattoos as a "teachable moment," in which I teach you to all watch THE LEFTOVERS

Here's Carrie Coon as Nora Durst, explaining how a *decent* human being gets a tattoo replaced:

Truly one of the worst times to canonically have great tits and correct opinions but someone has to do it

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

This is a great thread with some amazing recommendations.
What’s your favorite media by trans artists? The weirder and more niche the better. I want suggestions!

It has been 0️⃣ days since I was misgendered at work.

Managed to go a few weeks since the last one, but apparently it couldn’t last.

Driving downtown to watch musical theatre today, a Sunday in autumn, I forgot football is a thing and was surprised when I got caught in the related traffic.

This feels very on-brand for me.

I've been super proud to work with a bunch of talented authors including @judedoyle.bsky.social and @taliabhatt.itch.io on this package over the past couple months — it's six great stories about the weird, scary moment both the internet and trans people are in
The future of being trans on the internet
The internet has long been a source of information and support for transgender people. Now, trans rights and the internet itself are in a moment of crisis. What happens next?

This movie is wonderful.
The documentary I made with Miss Major 10 years ago is available to stream free on Vimeo. If you want to spend some time with her and her loved ones, and learn some abolitionist trans history while you're at it, updated streaming link is here: vimeo.com/whatdowewant...

I hope so. Not that I’m expecting anything heinous from Hayao Miyazaki, or wishing death on him (although that might get him to actually retire).
May the creators of the IP your tattoo is based on die before they do anything heinous, amen. 🤗

It’s the smugness that sticks with me. I can still hear her saying, “You shouldn’t be in the women’s restroom,” with the confidence that no one would stand up to her.

a lot of the hate for us is because they can't even imagine the world we live in, where you can choose your gender and your shape of love and your unamerican dream. the freedom is incomprehensible to them,, ,

which is why you should make out with your lesbian polycule in public as often as possible

I wouldn’t call myself “young”, but I definitely feel this.
As a fashion historian, I will die on this hill: the point of having blue hair and nose rings (or spiky nails or stripper heels or tattoos or an all-black wardrobe) is not to look pretty or cool. It's to look (and feel) powerful--something many young American women crave right now. And it's working.
Kid Rock: Do you know what is stupid… these chicks running around on campuses with blue hair, five nose rings.
