How about a reference on not doing this in an RCT? I am reviewing a paper from a Lancet journal that did this, but I could not find a paper reference to support my point (that this should not be done). Thank you

I wonder what a good alternative would be? Germ-free mice also have major gut morphological, biochemical and behavioural differences than wt. Plus they have it from birth. Any thoughts? Or perhaps we just need to keep these in mind...
