If your government thinks the Pope “doesn’t know what he’s talking about” when he defends migrants’ dignity, the world should see the warning sign. The US is no longer leading on human rights. It’s suppressing them.

Hotline callers were saying, “I do not want to be part of pointing a gun at US citizens and maybe shooting it.”
Is the US military poised to experience a new surge in conscientious objectors?

Think prayer can’t change great adversities? Take St. Anthony Mary Claret. During a fire in Santiago, Cuba, he led the townspeople in prayer. Holding a crucifix, he approached the flames, which miraculously subsided and extinguished, saving the town. This event reinforced faith in his intercession.

I’m not nor ever will be a MAGA voter, but I’m learning something from them. Our constitution has specific laws on the separation of power between the three branches. They’ve found a loophole. A law isn’t law unless it is enforced. Legislative & Judicial branches… Food for thought.

My wife started a resolution for us, after seeing what this new administration is doing. She is joining me for Saturday evening mass, and then date night.
