This is just too much. The detaining of American citizens and deporting legal residents to prisons? This all wreaks of 1930s Germany and we can't allow it to continue. #USDemocracy

Many, many people forget that the whole reason desegregation happened was not because society changed, but because Black people had spending power, and corporations wanted part of that.

Pepsi was one of the first companies I know who tapped into that.
Nobody from Target can explain why they thought ending DEI programs and cutting ties with Black businesses would have no impact on Black consumers spending money in their stores. They knew we'd stop. They simply underestimated the impact of us cutting them off. That's why it's still "no" for me.

Big Law & Columbia complied with Trump's absurd & confused demands, and Trump kept pushing for more.

Seems like there is a lesson about how to deal with corrupt & incompetent & insane bullies?

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

I went to El Salvador hoping to meet with Kilmar and check on his well-being, and I had the chance to do that last night.

Our courts have been clear: this was an ILLEGAL abduction. I’m speaking now about my meeting with Kilmar and our work to bring him home:

So, there's a seen in the Handmaid's Tale where the women are told that they were all fired. Not sure why I thought of that right now.
