#COP30: FIDH welcomes a hard-fought win with the Just Transition text and new action mechanism - the strongest human rights language ever at COP.

But other texts failed to confront fossil fuels. This must be urgently rectified to avert a full breakdown.

#TheFarmerCase: hearings continue this Wednesday in a legal action in our #SeeYouInCourt project!

The solution to the climate crisis requires multinational companies to immediately stop new GHG emissions.

We hope the court will establish this responsibility.

In 2016, a freak storm wiped out the entire strawberry crop on Hugues Falys’ farm in Hainaut province, western Belgium.

Falys now wants those responsible for the climate crisis to pay for the damage — and he’s chosen as his target one of the world’s biggest oil companies: TotalEnergies.

There’s no climate justice without human rights.

No climate ambition, equity or transformation without an open civic space.

And no COP of truth if we forget those absent due to repression.

At #COP30, we stood up for arbitrarily detained human rights defenders.

COP30 must prove climate ambition and justice go hand in hand – breaking old patterns, dismantling inequalities, centring those most affected.
