🌍 South Africa’s Highveld Priority Area—home to 12 coal plants, a major refinery & dozens of mines—has suffered PM₂.₅ & PM₁₀ levels well above national limits. A 2012 plan set targets, but without regulations, low-income communities remained exposed. 🏭💨
