We are now on a spiralling trajectory of enablement to depravity in the pursuit of greed for the few. Nazi salutes, de-citizenship and destruction of the planet. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" Edmund Burke

In 2018 we left the EU's Water Regulation body and their massive fines.

Then sewage dumping increased 20x.

Before Brexit we had some of the cleanest water in Europe.

Now it is by far the dirtiest.

Far right honker, Nigel, furiously peddles stupid, prejudiced ideas that make you poorer. Then, when you are poorer, he tells you you’re right to feel angry about that. But not with him.
For love of god, England, work it out…

"James Dyson owns 36,000 acres of agricultural land, estimated to be worth in excess of £550mn... Prior to Reeves’ new tax regulations there would have been no tax to pay if he had died and passed the land on to his successors."
Whose land? Tax avoidance and the broken economics of British farming
Noise in the billionaire press about inheritance tax changes hides a basic fact: the non-farming rich own too much land

2024. Labour wins General Election.

Labour announce changes to Inheritance Tax - to stop the very wealth using farmland as a tax shelter. The changes mean a few hundred of the largest farms and estates per year, will pay Inheritance Tax, but with 50% off.

As another #farmersprotest takes place today in London, I thought it would be useful to create a "damage to UK farming" timeline, from 2016 to 2024:

2016 Tories Boris Johnson & Michael Gove win the Brexit referendum, meaning UK will leave the Common Agricultural Policy.
