Hot take, the entire stretch of Colfax should be exempt from paying any rent until all the construction is 100% complete, and then after that we should just abolish the concept of rent. Here's hoping everything that makes Denver great survives gentrification.

Sometimes I wish it was as easy to walk up to and talk to someone as it is to talk to video game NPCs. No weirdness, no feeling like "who is this creepy rando?" Just neighbors being neighbors. Sometimes I wish I could go back to a kid when it was as easy as "Hi I'm Jeff do you want to be my friend?"

At one of the permitted protests I was at a few weeks ago, I saw a young leftist handing out socialist literature. This is probably a more effective use of one's time than demotivating people by posting about how cringe it is that there are protests that are safe for grannies and babies to attend
I get the sense that a lot of people see protesting as cringe because they don't understand what it accomplishes, and I get that... to them, I say: just go. Experience what it feels like to be part of a Very Large Crowd of your fellow citizens. That feeling has radical political implications.
