Bold claim from a guy whose party leader tries to silence anyone who disagrees with him.
Mike Johnson: "The last time I checked, Americans have more freedom right now to express themselves and speak their minds after Republicans took over ... it is the Republicans who restored your right to share and speak your mind."

Assignment editors at local TV stations are very responsive to viewers' suggestions. People can call the stations the night before and ask who will be covering the marches/rallies. Let them know you expect them there.

Local coverage often leads to national coverage.
@chrislhayes.bsky.social: The overwhelming majority of protesters in Los Angeles have been peaceful. But you would not know that from watching Fox News.

BREAKING: This ain’t a protest.
This is a reckoning. Raleigh, NC is flooding the streets with one message: ICE is a violent gang.

Trump is a fascist thug.
And if you stand with either—you’re a fucking enemy.

RFK Jr’s ACIP pick, Martin Kulldorff, said one of the most disturbing images from the pandemic was a toddler crying about having to wear a mask. I see toddlers cry about everything all the time, and I found it far more disturbing to see refrigerator trucks full of body bags outside of the hospitals…

Not all resistance wears a bullhorn.
Some write letters.
Some carry water.
Some raise their voices.
Some raise the spirits.
Some paint banners, others hold them.
Every role matters.
This is a chorus, not a solo.
Show up how you can.
We need you all.

Out of the 109 DOGE staffers we've identified:

• At least 38 currently work/have worked for businesses run by Musk
• At least 23 are making cuts at agencies that regulate the industries that employed them
• At least 12 remain, on paper, employees/advisors of the companies they worked at before DOGE
The DOGE 100: Musk Is Out, but More Than 100 of His Followers Remain to Implement Trump’s Blueprint
At least 38 DOGE members work, or have worked, for one of Elon Musk’s companies. Meanwhile, nearly two dozen DOGE officials are making cuts to the same federal agencies that regulate the industries…

Cannot express enough how much what happened at that meeting three weeks ago has changed things on the ground.

Courthouse arrests started within days, then check-in arrests. Worksite raids, once rare, began happening daily. Detention has skyrocketed over capacity. People are going missing.

Law enforcement officers should never cover their faces when making arrests or conceal their identities (unless they are working undercover). They work for us. We have a right to know who they are. These face coverings are frightening & unAmerican, as though they're ashamed of what they're doing.

So the people of Jacksonville did it themselves using flashlights and gels.

They opened the drawbridge to block them.
