If I'm not reading, I'm crafting, or lost in some maladaptive daydream. I could also be napping. There is a high probability of napping.
I've somehow been placed in "control" of my library's DVD collection & now I'm at odds with Spiderman. Tobey wanders, hides & climb walls until getting marked lost, then reappearing. As for Holland's, they remain far from w/ no way home. Garfield's at least behave themselves.

Having to pay for damaged library books hurts more when you work at the library....

Just me, standing by the circ desk, debating which of Stephen King's books should go on the banned books display and which ones should go on the Halloween display....

Dreamt of being in the midst of a zombie apocalypse and it wasn't even close to being the nightmare fuel that is real life.

Congrats to all the 2025 Eleanor Roosevelt Banned Book Award honorees! We especially love seeing @becalzada.bsky.social, Immediate Past President of @aaslala.bsky.social and co-founder of the #FReadomFighters, recognized among this year’s champions of the freedom to read.

Nothing wakes you up like having an oversized pickup truck not look before backing up and only stopping after you've blasted your horn for all it's worth.

I put the thing away in a proper place that makes complete sense, so, of course I can't find the thing. #couldbeMSorPerimenopauseorADHDorStressorAlloftheAbove

I feel the need to dye my auburn and get completely plastered. This implies a level of stress I haven't felt in in over a decade.

President Trump's executive order to eliminate the Institute of Museum & Library Services would have disastrous effects for communities nationwide. We call on all Americans who value reading & learning to reach out to their elected leaders.

Yesterday, I said pencil instead of pretzel and then went down a google rabbit hole trying to search "malapropism and multiple sclerosis". The cog-fog did not help matters. It took way to long for me to remember that I get high as all hell from half a gummy and that I was likely over-reacting.

📚 This. Everyone has had a creepy patron. I just got free of a guy who’d call looking for information on a tennis athlete, but really he was jerkin it the whole time on the phone. When he got transferred to male colleagues, he got angry; then after a while he quit calling us.

For a second, I hoped the paper I was told to read about "ice" was going to be an apology for not salting the employee parking lot. Unfortunately, that is not the world we live in.

I'd like very much if someone else would be the calm-in-chaos-crisis-coordinator for awhile so I that I can find some catharsis in being the creator of a chaotic crisis.

When you and a stranger learn that you share not just the trauma of having attended a fundy Baptist school, but also Camp Joy. There was no joy, just devotions, fire and brimstone preachers frothing at the mouth and your peers sling-shotting water balloons at you.

NEW: My staff has confirmed reports that Medicaid portals are down in all 50 states following last night's federal funding freeze. This is a blatant attempt to rip away health care from millions of Americans overnight and will get people killed.
