I started working in tech because I've liked technology since I was a kid. Things used to be so fun and interesting and now it's just... hell. There are no ethics. No care for humanity. It's all soulless and it fucking sucks. I feel like the only one in the office who hates AI... It's just... bleak

LRT my ex is still living with me and he is. So reliant on smart home devices for turning off lights and shit like that. I would much prefer to NOT have Google home shit in my house so I can't wait until all that shit is gone. Get it the fuck away from me

It is positively dumbfounding to me that literally ANYONE still has Alexa in their homes, neverminded that they're lining up to buy literal surveillance sunglasses
Every new piece of technology seems designed to invade what little privacy I have left so my life can be sold to private businesses and the surveillance state while also demanding a monthly payment.
