I forgot to add: please stop blaming Russia. Europe has always been a conservative beacon ripe for the current fascist wave. in fact if it wasn't for big bad Russia and nativism/nationalism there wouldn't even be a welfare state to dismantle since the 1970s.

hence the conservative answer, which includes "social democratic" parties and the Dems in the US, of closing borders because of this perception. they've already cowered to the far right talking points because these have been talking points for centuries. it's nothing new.

the original poster mentions "insecurity" and dismisses immigration because countries with fewest immigrants are further to the right. which ignores a major narrative that links immigration to insecurity. it's been their modus operandi for decades and now it's in full force.

the most fascinating part in fact is how dominant conservative politics have been throughout Europe's modern history. and then you wonder how generations built on conservative values are backlashing at the slightest sight of inclusivity in their realm.

the political wet dream of the average European under 35 is a right wing coalition led by far right and libertarian parties. to think Trump will "vaccinate" them against fascism when they're taught from childhood how Europe is a victim of their own success, is akin to believing in Santa Claus.

To think this is the best Europe has to offer to a migrant in regards to everything but money in the bank... What a sad state of affairs.

He can't even properly justify why he's getting that money because the firm is owned by his kindergarten wife and his two man children sons. And if he does the correct thing of leaving office there's no way the extreme right won't gain even more seats. They already have almost 25% of them!
