I am way more hawkish than anything being agreed on tonight. I still believe that Europe should send troops to force a no-fly zone over Western Ukraine, and guard the Ukraine-Belarus border. The Russians have been playing chicken with us, when we should be playing chicken with them.
also it actually would also be a checkmate towards russia, cause that economy is gonna crack at some point.

It is worrying how China now presents itself to Europe as a more reasonable and calm alternative partner in security. Chinese influence campaigns are far more subtle and sophisticated than the brutish and blunt Russian stuff. I imagine some people will fall for it.

Frontex is an immigration patrol agency. We should not mix up those responsibilities with those of a military. If we create a common European defence pact or army, it will be something completely new.
