When folks started talking boycotts, it didn't feel like there was much faith that we could make a difference. That was wrong.
Turns out there's nothing super special about shopping there, and it's easy to make other choices. I don't see why I should ever give them another dime. We moved on.

The divergence here from two companies with *very* similar customer bases is pretty wild, you do not see this sort of thing happen at scale very often.

I’m curious as to whether these companies who are making it public that they are backing out of DEI policies and initiatives are thinking about how it will affect who works for them…fascinated at Walmart.

Ironic how many companies who claim to be “apolitical” created DEI roles in response to political pressure and are now rolling them back due to opposite political pressure.
These decisions are not lacking in playing politics…just morality, integrity and fortitude.
