It's funny how companies have so much money, they can get a team of artists to put in a huge amount of effort into something that was a dumb idea to begin with.

Reading about the data centers companies are building for "AI" and the resources they will consume. Turns out, the fear of the paperclip optimizer is not unfounded, but the intelligences causing it aren't artificial.

There are a lot of things that are impressive in ways only nerds would care about like maybe raytracing.

sorry I gotta know every detail of what happened here. why were they messing with pow(). why did they not test pow() after messing with it. why did it take until an investigation by the osu team to figure out what was wrong. should the osu team be placed in charge of the windows runtime

I keep coming back to YouTube because occasionally people put some really great works there. But the click-bait and sensationalism is sickening me. I just scrolled to the end of the entire front page and there wasn't a single worthwhile video on it.

@cametek.bsky.social's song Polybius GB Speedrun is fun, but Full Flavour Ondo sounds a lot more like a speedrun. It quickly switches through musical ideas, each sounding like it could be a full song but isn't.
