From clearing vegetation to performing a walk test, each station goes through the same protocol to ensure we are consistent throughout the study.

After cameras are placed, they are left for 1-2 months before we return to review the footage!

In highly fragmentated habitats like OC, dispersing juveniles are more likely to encounter humans as they learn to navigate the landscape.

These cyclists knew how to respond to such an encounter- They made themselves big, made noise, did not turn their backs, and then they slowly moved away.
