You don't have to be at your strongest to make a difference. 7 bags of litter collected in and around my local nature reserve this morning.

If there's one thing a hospital does, it scares you healthy! I'm on my 2nd of three visits this week and can't wait to get out!

Early morning. Not where I was but far enough to be here. That's today's win.

60 Minutes journalist Sharyn Alfonsi sharply summarizes the appalling decision of Bari Weiss not to run her CECOT story: “If the administration’s refusal to participate becomes a valid reason to spike a story, we have effectively handed them a ‘kill switch’ for any reporting they find inconvenient.”

In 2 months, I've been an in-patient on a respiratory ward, critical care ward, a thoracic ward, and a cancer ward. My body has been through a lot: serious chest infection, collapsed lung, multiple organ failure, chest drains, and RIG feed insertion. Today, I have my 70th immunotherapy treatment.

A steady and careful walk today after my interventional radiology procedure. The new feeding tube is working well, and there is no NG tube or chest drain to contend with. I have my immunotherapy treatment on Monday, so a couple of days rest before going back to hospital.

Another day, another walk, another reminder that even with tubes, pain, and setbacks, I’m still moving, I'm still breathing and still finding small pockets of peace between storms.

You don’t have to pretend you’re fine.
You don’t have to be stainless steel.
You don’t have to smile through every minute.
But what you can do is open a tiny window to hope, even on the days when it feels impossible.

If you are in a house of pain, then you might as well play it! Pretty shattered again today but it's hour by hour with ups and downs.

My posts at the moment might not reflect my daily positive narrative of the last 5 years but I am far from done. I'm receiving incredible support on here. Unfortunately, a tiny minority haven't, calling for me to 'be put of my misery' which I find abhorrent.

Today has been exhausting. Getting used to life at home again is a transition as I have only known constant noise and artificial light 24/7 for 2 weeks. The darkness and quiet last night were amazing. Thank you for all my messages, and sorry for not replying, but I'm too tired. Much love ❤️

Today is the first day where I've started to get my head around what multi-organ failure means and how close I was to dying. I’m absolutely shattered, and it's just hit me that my recovery is going to take months and months and months. This has been far bigger than I realised.

I've worked hard on my mental fitness over the years and always knew that it was crucial. In hospital, this gets a severe workout as there is so much to cope with. I'm certainly being stretched at the moment and trying to maintain my discipline.

Note: This is me — I asked this question.

You’ll hear me say “yes you have” here — because Johnson was already *directly asked* about one of these instances (when the Presbyterian minister was shot in the head with a pepper ball) in one of earlier shutdown press conferences.
Q: Just last week a minister was shot directly in the face with a pepper round by a DHS agent that left his face bloodied. Are you concerned that this is a religious freedom issue?

MIKE JOHNSON: I can't comment on any of those instances. I haven't seen or heard any of those videos
