#pippinux update: got the correct USB #Nintendo64 controller. I can navigate #Retroarch menus fine but #mupen64, #emulationstation, *and* #project64 on #linux are having trouble detecting A button and R trigger input. On #windows, P64 sees all inputs and plays great, but #shipofharkanian sees none.

In my never-ending project to improve my friends’ experience playing TTRPGs at my table, while also keeping it stupid simple for my lazy ass, I finally got an iPad mount for my tripod so virtual players can feel more like they’re here in person.

A little box of bits for the tripod mount. The most annoying part was getting the long threaded central screw on the top half of the mount to screw into the bottom half while keeping the two side stabilizing bars in line with their holes. The assembled mount atop the tripod. The mount, with iPad, at its position at the table.

Another Pippinux update: Got a USB switch to easily swap keyboard and mouse between Pippinux and Riko, our gaming PC. Once everything is all configured on Pippinux, we won’t need keyboard and mouse often but this will be nice when we do.

A small USB 3.0 switch attached to the top of our Blu-ray player. It features a single button that switches the single USB port, in this case populated by a Logitech Unifying Receiver for our keyboard and mouse, between two devices. Device 1 is labeled “Riko” and device 2 is labeled “Pip.”
