Hi, I’m bru. I write things. Some of those things were published long ago.
Due to chronic ill health I mostly write flash and poetry now. I’ve often been told I’m a cartoon character: I may in fact be a Muppet. Love music, art, books. 📚

It’s been dark so long it feels like midnight. My eyes are heavy and so is my heart.
But there is a tiny bit of light shining through the cracks in my heart. Reminding me that life keeps going. That hope exists within me.
I wish for you to find a spark of hope in you, too.

Thinking so much of everyone working in retail, hospitality, healthcare, and all the other jobs that are especially stressful this time of year. I worked for years in retail at Christmas, I’ll never forget how hard it was.

There’s a concert I would, in theory, enjoy going to next summer. But the arena is horrible, the roads around it are a nightmare, and I just don’t think my anxiety can handle arena shows anymore. Not to mention: germs. I wish my brain wasn’t like this but I’m afraid my concert days are over.

It breaks my heart to see great writers struggling with their social media presence.
It shouldn’t be that writers have to try to be “it” as far as socials are concerned because the target is always moving. Especially for women.
