I wanted a birding adventure game & there weren't any.
Nearly 4 years into building this now. FT job, a toddler & a baby make it a marathon. But day by day we're getting closer...

As I was saying goodbye to Goonengerry at sunrise this morning (and probably collecting 50 more bug bites) I saw this giant golden orb-weaving spider (Nephila pilipes), she must’ve been about 15cm across. Her short king is the teeny red male riding on her (CW: arachnophobia)

Left the Northern Rivers region of NSW with roughly 150 bug bites and a pretty rough rolled ankle but I’m happy and it feels like Nature’s due and proper

I know it won't happen but a part of me I'm not proud of is absolutely fiending for stories of people who lived on the Upper East or Upper West Side of Manhattan, finally realized they were conservatives when Mamdani was elected, and now have to learn how to function in Jacksonville.
