I drew the Gremlin in my profile pic, I like Gremlins and cheese, do you like Gremlins and cheese too?
I know whole mint leaves in salads look good in food photos but chewing on a whole mint leaf is like cleaning your teeth mid lunch, chop it up.

In an organisation as big as BBC there will be problems & you can guarantee that when they hit those problems they will handle them in the worst way, but they are trusted by millions around the world to bring verified news from highly dedicated & principled journalists. They are ESSENTIAL right now.

The loss of BBC news and its various arms would be a disaster for the UK and world as a whole. In these horrilbly divided times a service that spans viewers of all leanings, it would push the right further towards grubby outlets like GBNews and Facebook slop.
Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

What a lot of businesses don't realise when they think they will save money with AI instead of real people, is when the AI service they depend on hikes its prices up - which they will do when clients are fully dependent on the service - they will be screwed.

Why do people think that Paneer, Feta and Halloumi are interchangeable in any recipe. Their textures and flavours are completely different. Just because they come as white blocks? #thoughtfortheday

Three adult members of my family were involved in trimming my hair in a straight line (because I think £120 is too steep for this simple task) and it's still wonky!

Really hope that's permanent
- you clean up that banksy?
- sure did, your honour, leaving a perfect, permanent outline, imbuing the work with real fuckin gravitas while making its point better than the artist did himself just like you asked
They erased the new Banksy mural in London. But the stain remains.

I hope our government feels proud of itself for spending the weekend locking up peaceful protesters who are against war crimes. I didn't expect much from them but this is truly shocking.
I think anyone who has any form of platform who is not saying anything about what happened in London yesterday is saying a great deal about the world they will accept

How is it a shocking & bad thing to have musicians expressing solidarity with people suffering genocide! To be anti children being murdered. This government is an absolute waste of space. BBC shouldn't have Glasto if they don't support the arts in all their outspoken, messy glory.

This government is such a gigantic dissapointment. How is going after carers on min wage - that are so desperately needed - a good idea? Aside from the fact it is also lacking in human decency (shouldn't be an aside but these days it seems to be last consideration of any politician).

It's so job specific in peoples minds. Everyone thinks they can be a graphic designer but not a carpenter. Anyone can actually do anything just not to the standard of a talented and experienced person. Technically I could do brain surgery (with a willing participant and they would of course die)
at least some of what’s fueled “ai” is the assumption that anyone *should* be able to write professionally. It’s obviously not true, but the work seems easy when you don’t know what goes into it. It’s specific to writing—no one thinks it’s a problem that they’re not getting a tryout for the Mets!
