I’m all for a good debate, but free speech is not unlimited. Threats, harassment, slander, libel, stalking, incitement to violence, foreign troll farms and a host of other actions need to be dealt with. When the other site stopped enforcing any guidelines and changed the block function, I was done.
Debate/conversation would be great. That's why I've not given up on social media entirely. I'm in an extremely low stakes niche and the amount of harassment, stalking, and libel that I've gotten over the years is staggering and only getting worse. We do not owe shitty people a platform to be shitty.
It is so funny to me to see people saying this over there. How will you ever know how LoliCrusader1488 feels if you don't stay on the web site he likes?
