Sheepishly
The online reporting thing is just updated but only showing 279,044 ballots. They posted here 286,731 ballots. Pretty big difference given the margins we're looking at so which one is right, my spreadsheet needs to know. Any insight @ronpdavis.bsky.social @guyoron.net ?

Amazing campaign email content that definitely wasn't written by AI — Sara Nelson "can think outside the box because she knows the box."

Nice attempt to make this look like it came from KUOW

As rumored, Debora Juarez applied for D5 vacancy. Probably would be best case scenario with this council.

Hey @uniteherelocal8.bsky.social , is this an *unpaid* internship you're shopping here? Wondering how you feel about when restaurants do unpaid "staging" internships, because this seems similar, and both seem bad!

Amazingly apt — a statement of support for Cathy Moore which itself has a conflict of interest!

Hey look there, it's a whole little crew of affordable housing folks working with CM Moore. They not only want to make it easier to evict people, they're apparently cool with rolling back ethics rules to make it happen. @hannahkrieg.bsky.social

Very happy to see this quote from Bruce Harrell in @thestranger.com stating clear opposition to the Cathy Moore / Sara Nelson ethics rollback proposal: www.thestranger.com/news/2025/05...

But we know about it so it’s fine.

At least that’s how Cathy Moore’s city council ethics logic works!

I am not sure this is correct. Language is confusingly written but appears to my eye to create complete carve out for CMs as long as they disclose

April 27, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Hey @ssowersby.bsky.social it’s inaccurate to shorthand the Senate rent cap as 10%. As you note earlier it’s 10% + CPI. So almost certainly at least 12%. Woulda been 19% with inflation just a few years ago. About 14% or 15% lately. In no way is “10%” accurate. Readers deserve a clarification here

Not sure I see how reducing bus trips on a bus line is in support of equity goals? Any insight @seattletransitblog.com ?

Policymakers should definitely believe everything Uber says. They are principled & consistent, just look

Strange that Dionne Foster didn't actually answer the Q from @ericacbarnett.bsky.social on whether she supported things like SOAP & SODA exclusion areas. I'd really like to know the answer to the question!

I know it's a debut interview but Foster sure seemed squishy and noncommittal. Not great.

Love this. Asked to share what they were most wrong about in 2024, this Meta exec says their big error was underestimating the success of their own AI glasses. Amazing.

So @housingconsortium.org why on earth are you trying to roll back tenants rights in Seattle? Wild you can claim your mission is about "equitable access to affordable homes" while trying to give landlords more power. Seems gross! www.thestranger.com/news/2024/12...
