They do seem like inconsistent positions, but the attacks on teachers was really about dismantling public schools to get taxpayer dollars for home schoolers and private charter schools run by charlatans.

Thank god that the generation of leaders who actually fought Nazism, in the field with blood & bullets, then came home & built the foundations of human-rights culture, are all dead now. It would be awful for them to have to see what we've done to their legacy.
