CUBC have named their reserve crews for #TheBoatRace the women’s reserve crew (Blondie) are coxed by Louis De Neve who, at 193cm, is the tallest in the crew and possibly the tallest cox to ever race in either reserves or Blue Boat

My next year was 1989 with UL…started 415th finished 14th! I reckon that’s got to be close to the most places gained ever 😂

So a pet hate of mine (one of many as I get older and grumpier) why do clubs refer to their crews as 1V and 2V this makes me think they’re rowing a 5. It usually means “Varsity” which is a University team not a club….how hard is it to write 1st VIII instead??
