The real lesson of Zuckerberg and Musk is that some people are just born with loser stink on them that no amount of wealth or power will ever scrub off

I was fortunate my mum was a Home Ec teacher, so learnt quite a few skills (especially baking) at home. But even so this seems to be a new thing, a lot of my friends have become excellent cooks in adult life by simply enjoying food and wanting to learn.
to be honest I think at some point it is a *choice* by people not to develop these skills, especially in an era of easy access to knowledge. it's like the 'I was never taught this in school' people. yes you were, you just weren't listening
My first job out of college was managing purchases and bookkeeping for our family restaurant, so knowing how to budget and use a single ingredient for twenty different menu items is deep in my blood.

But not everybody knows how to do that.

It IS a skill.

And you can develop skills.

'Mouthwashing' is one of the best, most gripping games I've played in a long time. Psychological horror at it's best.

I think you can gauge a lot about someone's character by what their opinions are about the 'love' scene in Interstellar. Especially if they seem to hate it with a passion.

Is it just me or are comments on Instagram getting more divisive and rage-filled recently? I just know when I open them on reels that the top one will be some rage or engagement bait.

Guess I can start Bluesky with some dull man posting but I recently got a dehumidifier to help with drying clothes indoors during winter and it's a damn revelation.

I'm currently in the worst position where I have an earworm of a song I used to love, but, I cannot for the life of me remember the song title or the band. And I have no clues to help. It's an instrumental song so lyrics are a no no. Infuriating, but, having fun trying to find it.

Managed to get set up here using the sky bridger extension which was a godsend. My feed remains full of @ityslmemes.com but without the bots and nastiness. Lovely stuff!
