When there's an apostrophe in a Chinese name, like Zi'ang, why is that? Is it because you can't have two adjacent vowel sounds? I'm also curious to know if it affects the pronunciation

I haven't been especially wowed by the #jbl Punk's Triangle (it's OK, just not a 10) but I do love that they cast someone who is authentically really, really good at catwalk modelling. It's such an important plot point, and they nailed it ❤️
