They never revealed which one of them murdered Coco.

A million times yes to overpainting pixel art!

Yeah, but only just before they shoot out a fireball.

(Figuring out the fireball animation is what got me into this mess - do you know how hard it is to make this still look like a jack-o-lantern while it's making a p-tooey face? Neither did I until yesterday)

The octopus is just a friend you haven't battled yet!

Hi hi! Are some of these new? I don't remember the barrels and the computer console.

I'm pretty solidly booked with Monster Bop for the forseeable future, but if you want to take a crack at Kiloton without me you are very welcome to.

It is true! He owns a cafe here in Brighton, well, Hove actually. I think it was the source of the extremely loud music last night. The tunes were great. It was a nice thing to hear.

I refuse to look this up in case it isn't true.

Okay yep those tiles look really fun!

I don't remember if I ever offered to collab and code for Derbytown, but it's been years since I worked on a top-down racer and I'd love to get back to it.

I'd have to chew through a lot of project backlog first though.

But yeah, maybe someday if you're keen?

Oh my goodness, that's beautiful!

I hadn't heard this! Previously though I've used the budget version (change socks at midday), and it works great.

Hi Ted! Are you still working on the iso racer game from a while ago? That looked really nice.

...anyway, I like how the process ensures a clean silhouette and consistently sized details / colour regions. Also I find sketching ideas much easier in lowres pixel art.

It's the most ridiculous art process, but I also kinda love it.

Most sprites and tiles start out as 12x12, then doubled and coloured (eg pictured here), then I chuck that in the game to test roughly how it looks and animates, then drawn over another time as a 1024x1024.
