Thank you for giving us the opportunity to contribute to this work!!!

We injected mStayRose along with mStayGold tagged peptides into zebrafish embryos and show that it works well to look at early development.

First work entirely out of my new lab @warwickuni.bsky.social 💥🤓😇

Made my day!
🤣

One for the fluorescence folks :)

Excited to be in Genoa for the #WeberSymposium2025

A few days of all fun things fluorescence ahead 🔬🎆🌈

Starting out with an account of the seminal contributions by Gregorio Weber presented by the amazing Dave Jameson

Back to @mblscience.bsky.social Woods Hole - teaching on the Pair Up Microscopy Course. Great experience and awesome participants.

Wild - last time here I was a student (Physical Biology of the Cell Course in 2018). Now introducing my lab.

Thanks Abhishek Kumar for organising and the invitation.

Thanks Ünal!

It was a real pleasure to host you and Obada at Warwick.
Looking forward to more lipid and membrane times in the future!

The team is growing. 🚨🚨🚨
Meet Pawel who is working with me as a postdoc and kick-starting our research. And of course – we measured our first FCS at Warwick.

😱Starting with an empty lab has been quite scary...

💪Slowly but steadily the bench is filling up and I even got a first image (of a piece of Styrofoam packing material – after some time in the office, the microscopist in me is happy to image anything 🤩🔬).

#newPI and time is running.

It has already been a month since I officially joined the University of Warwick as Assistant Professor. I am excited to announce and build the Fluorescence and Membrane Dynamics (FMD) Lab:

#BPS2025 - that's a wrap 🎬

Thanks everyone for a great meeting!
I met a lot of incredible scientists and learnt sooo much in the past few days.
Time to digest and design new projects :)
February 19, 2025 at 11:27 PM
#BPS2025 is approaching! ✨🔬🧪

I will be presenting a poster on some TPE metabolic imaging and on a little bit of Phasor FLIM analysis. All recent and unpublished data.

Sun Feb 16th - B548

Find me if you are there and interested and want to chat about NADH, FPs, FLIM, or FCS (always up for that).

We typically benchmark STED performance first on Crimson Beads, then on NPCs, then on plasma membrane. Chemical dyes like abberior.shop/abberior-STA... work great in SLBs and HeLa.

Final test is always STED-FCS on membrane dye:

Let me meme that up for you ;)

Happy #FluorescenceFriday

"What are you looking at?!"

- coming from an in vitro background, it is still strange when your sample looks back at you 👁️😅

Great list 👍👍 Thank you!
Would love to be added. My lab is just starting out and into all things fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy.

Excited and humbled to share some big news:
I am starting a new chapter as Assistant Professor at University of Warwick working in the new Cellular Interfaces Program by Jitu Mayor at the Centre for Mechanochemical Cell Biology.
Lab doors open in March 2025. Stay tuned for updates and positions.

Did you ever think about getting started with two-photon excitation (TPE) microscopy?
It is a great time and fun 🙃🔬
Therefore, we put some of the basics, trends, and pitfalls in fluorescence and TPE microscopy together.
Now out in CommsBio #OpenAccess

On my way to #cellbio2023 ✈️
It's my first time at an ASCB meeting 🙃👨‍🔬
Looking forward to a lot of amazing science, the program looks great.
If anyone wants to talk fluorescence fluctuation spectroscopy, find me at my poster on Monday P1770

Also hope for a good "conference coverage" on bluesky 😁

Happy Halloween everyone!
🎃🧟‍♂️👻
Our decorations this year play on a different kind of fear and anxiety 🤡
Did it scare you? Anything missing?

😂😂 at first I thought that was a joke ... reminded me of an old thread on the other place with creative journal names such as:
ThugLife
StuckLife
BroLife

Do you have any better ones?

That is a fun tool: Generates word clouds from pubmed abstracts or Google Scholar Profile.
Works quite well to display research interests… at least published ones 😊 (some words are a bit random though... can you spot "elsevier"?)
Thanks @christlet.bsky.social for the inspiration!

I wanted to show how incredibly active and dynamic these supposedly boring, adherent cells can be :) See below for a single-time point.
It also is a hint at bsky to allow us soon to upload gifs and show movies 😜😁

Nothing better than a good, old actin firework to get you started with the weekend 🎆
