the megadrive "link to the past" clone that was actually as good as it (if not better).

i get the idea of trying to recreate the distinct look of pixel art over CRT, but this grainy filter over heavy anti aliasing is not the look for me
very very impressed with the UI improvements and the VA is top notch, though, amazing stuff

ok i no longer think the ff tactics remake did software (or AI) upscaling on the sprites, but i can't shake the feeling they look kinda muddy / strange

I heard great things about Digimon Cyber Sleuth, but something about the character models really bugged me. Not sure what or why, they just look off to me.
Very happy this is not the case with Time Stranger. Game looks absultely gorgeous, loved the demo and can't wait for the full thing

though i think autosave is kind of a given, it's moments like this that i believe really encompass how meticulously crafted the difficulty is (meant to) be, even if sometimes it does feel a bit artificial

it is even worse than just making it opaque, they actively discourage the fetching of updated information because it is more expensive (tool usage, retrieval, vectorizing, search api calls, etc)

the disrespect to such a beloved title is baffling:
- horrendous texture scaling
- no visual fidelity on sprite rework

input lag of the stream is noticeable, but very much bearable (i'd say around 75ms, maybe a bit more) -- depends a lot on the bitrate you choose. the higer = the prettiest, but also higher the delay
i had a very nice 1 hour sesh and hitting dodges and parries was alright!
