Queens partisan, rugger, and dad.
I think he hasn't even been sworn in as mayor yet and so it's okay to have concerns but wait before making any kind of declaration

He's been on TV for more than 30 years and I cannot think of a single observation or joke that was funny or interesting. Other than the 1 time he was actually politically incorrect, which got him fired and made him double down on Islamophobia.

Stereotype: women be shopping

Reality: who do you think is buying all those funkos and stupid car accessories?

It's seriously wild the shit people say

I live in Zohran's old assembly district. I have a senator who refused to endorse him, a congressperson who was his biggest ally, and a nearby house leader who refused to endorse him on TV but had an uneasy partnership with him behind the scenes.

Politics is complicated.

Why is putting it in a form that people who don't follow the news religiously can understand treating them like imbeciles?

Why is presenting a progressive economic agenda a lie?
November 17, 2025 at 1:06 AM
Then why did they vote for Zohran over Cuomo? Why Obama over McCain? Why Harris in her CA races over her opponents?

"Americans are irredeemably bigoted" is a cop out. That's not to say bigotry isn't real and massive. But if that's your whole analysis then there is no future for the country.

And before you say it, it's not about "the groups" or the party becoming "too woke." Tirelessly defending core constituencies is good politics and a Democratic Party that can't or won't stand by the people at greatest risk is no party at all.
November 17, 2025 at 12:39 AM
You are litigating 2024. I am talking about a decades-long trend at all levels in which the Democratic Party has moved away from a clear economic agenda that can be explained through the lens of a few core programs that benefit lots of people.

Which specific arguments?

Is the best way to overcome that misogyny and racism.

If we're just saying there is no way to reach people (not the hardened bigots, but the people who are turned off by politics and think nothing will ever change) then there's no point in having a democracy. Let's just throw the whole thing out
November 17, 2025 at 12:30 AM
I think you are arguing with someone other than me.

I think it is quite easy for two things to be true at the same time: 1) there is deep misogyny and racism within the electorate; 2) a clearly articulated economic message that names specific things you will do to make life better for people

You keep mentioning Harris. The only thing I've said is that Biden put her in a bad position.

I do not assert that. Where did I assert that?
