Which is hilarious when you're talking to an 11-year-old and they tell you "I'm into this really obscure band, you probably haven't heard of them. They're called Blink 182"

True, but working with teens I've found, bc they listen to Spotify rather than the radio, their taste in music is much more varied than previous generations.

Neurodovergence and disability cover a lot of areas and need to be considered as more a normal part of education and student variation than as a problematic outliers that waste government money. 4/4

There's a lot of talk about this but on the ground it's very common to have students with obvious need who are undiagnosed, and it is very hard to find places in SEND schools, even for students who come into secondary who are working at a y1 or 2 level of ability. 3/

This may not affect all students academically in all classes, but is still worth diagnosing, as even able students may struggle in specific areas especially as they move into higher education and work. 2/

This sounds high, but accounting for adhd, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia alongside children who just have slow processing speeds I'd say the average class contains around 5 or more in 30 students who stand out as having some level of impairment. 1/

I can't wait to see the protests that erupt over these dangerous rapidts who are being allowed to roam our streets. I'm sure the concerned parents will be working out how to evict them from their communities to make us all safe. Wait: No?

Democracy as it currently exists can lead to populism and support hate movements far too easily, and I really don't know what we can do about that tbh.
