I love foxes puffins and dancing.I want an independent Scotland in the EU a free state for Palestine and a world without destructive 'strongmen'. I like a good argument but I've had enough of Israeli propaganda and will now simply block those who share it.

Read what's proposed 👇 then think how 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗱 feel as an asylum seeker.

Living under the threat of deportation. No security whatever your situation, or what you're contributing, or how long you try to settle... unless you pay a fortune in government fees and trust you're still here in twenty years.
The Politico briefing on the proposals is absolutely terrifying, eg "the Home Office would need to review the status of up to 1.4 million people between now and 2035."👇🏻

I hope every Labour MP considering whether to support Shabana Mahmood's asylum plans remembers Nigel Farage's assessment that the “Home Secretary sounds like a Reform supporter.”

If they support them they will too.

“Illegal migration tearing UK apart”?

Mahmood, it’s doing no such thing. It’s frothing up a minority of flag-shagging influencers who are stirring a pot of distraction flavoured immigration.

Labour needs to take its head for a shit.
Illegal migration tearing UK apart, Mahmood says
The home secretary is set to announce major policy reforms, including a 20-year wait before people granted asylum can apply to settle permanently.

For Shabana Mahmood to attack some of the most cruelly treated people in the world as having won a "golden ticket" because they manage to get to and claim asylum in Britain is unforgiveable.

A new, far right, low for which I can think of no precedent, by any UK Government.

That's who you've joined.

Mahmood is one of the core members of Labour Together, the project led by Morgan McSweeney and Steve Reed to rid Labour of its left wing and implement a right-wing agenda in Britain with Starmer as its puppet Prime Minister. No-one should be conned any more into thinking Labour is a socialist party.
Far right Home Secretary Mahmood is announcing reform to Article 8 of the European Court of Human Rights (right to family life) for refugees, and is seeking international reform of Article 3, covering torture and inhuman and degrading treatment.

--> A vote for Labour is a vote for fascism.

Who wants to be like Denmark? Labour, it appears. In yet another attempt to out-Reform Reform.

"The policy has been copied from Denmark, where a government ...has presided over one of the toughest asylum and immigration systems in Europe.
This is as bad as anything proposed by Reform.

Leaving refugees in permanent limbo and unable to build a new life in the UK would be a complete abdication of our humanitarian responsibilities

It will be news to many people that the monarchy-loving, establisment toadying, pro-Zionist BBC represents 'liberal democratic values'. But perhaps that's just another attack from 'Scottish independistas'. Venceremos!!
(Eat your heart out, Che Guevara.)
The latest #BBC controversy is pat of a long culture war about the BBC & UK. The BBC is not a neutral organisation as some of its defenders think. It sits in an ideological space articulating British liberal democratic values. These are under attack from right, left, Scottish independenistas & more.

I'm guessing Starmer will simply ignore this advice. He is stubborn and vindictive to the core. Interesting that the author refers to 'several Labour MPs' who 'opposed the ban'. Not enough for any of them to vote against it. They provided the lobby-fodder that allowed it to pass.
