This really gets at the heart of why I'm doing what I'm doing with the shop. Radical politics is haunted by semiotic ghosts. Those semiotic ghosts must be exorcised. You can reach new people by emphasizing throughlines and continuity in the American project. Eugene Debs was a patriot.
