Seriously! I just found the first 4 volumes of Martin Scorsese’s World Cinema Project at one of my local library systems. Even on sale that's ~$400 of media that I can just borrow with no collateral above simply living here. Thanks, Libraries ❤️ That'll keep me out of trouble for many, many hours.
When we talk about physical media, we are often only taking about personal collections but a big part of shunning the current digital ecosystem is supporting your local library. Not just for print books and periodicals but for movies, games and other medias too. Get. A. Library. Card.

I must've first watched Leaving Las Vegas at an impressionable age because during a current re-watch I was surprised about how much of Cage's character I had absorbed. The same thing happened re-watching the Max Headroom series with Chris Young's character.
Oscar-winning LEAVING LAS VEGAS, starring Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue, is now on 4K. An alcoholic screenwriter finds solace with an escort when their unexpected encounter leads to a compassionate bond amidst the gritty world. gruv.com/products/lea...

I didn't understand why James Cameron was burning so many resources on the Avatar movies until I learned he directed Piranha 2 before The Terminator. Piranha 2 is where he started getting experience filming ships and filming under water. He didn't really care about some shitty creature movie sequel;

I saw Tron: Ares in Dolby 3D a few days after it was released. I got what I paid for: Dazzling visuals and audio. But the story and the thesis is trash. "Hey, Mouseketeers! You don't need to worry so much about A.I. There's bound to be a good one once in a while."

I love @drewtoothpaste.bsky.social 's brain but this is a rare, ill-conceived idea if you consider the number of people who primarily use social media as a potty time distraction
all posts should be Bluesky Labeled with how the poster currently smells. the phone should smell them and tell us

I do not care. I am ordering food. i am a somewhat civilized human being. Please stop trying to solder together whichever of my neurons you think will make me run a tracking device to get a big mac
One of my most reviled words: lessen(ed). I think it bothers me because it doesn't have symmetry. There's no antonym that makes sense. Please use "decrease" instead 🙏

Anybody else feel an irrational amount of satisfaction when their machines randomly perform beautiful geometric symmetrical (geosymmetrical?) patterns?
